A worried daughter has appealed for more time to pay a parking fine after bailiffs called round just days after her father was taken seriously ill.
Bailiffs visited Cromwell Road, in New Town, Colchester, and clamped a truck belonging to Peter Haggart, 53, who has outstanding parking fines of £501.84.
But his daughter, Connie, said her father was recovering from a heart attack in hospital in Hastings and was unaware of the bailiffs' visit.
She said: "All my concerns are for my dad. If I tell my dad about the truck, he might have another heart attack.
"My uncle asked for more time to pay it off."
John Simpson, head of Colchester Council's street services department, said the council had been unaware that Mr Haggart had been taken ill.
He said: "We are sympathetic to the set of circumstances and will look at the issues that the family have raised."
