West Ham defender Hayden Mullins is set to continue his first team return tomorrow when Wolves visit the Boleyn Ground.

Mullins, who has found first-team starts hard to come back this season, returned to the side at Derby in place of the injured Malky Mackay.

And, having bided his time, the utility player is now hoping to play his part in building a winning run for the promotion-chasing Hammers.

"If you look at a lot of results from the last few weeks, no one is running away with this league," he said.

"It's going to be about putting a run of results together and there's still a lot to play for.

"We've had a good record at home lately and we will be looking to build on that tomorrow.

"It was unfortunate that we slipped up at Forest last week, but we've done better at Derby and now we're just trying to get that run going."

Mullins himself is looking to re-establish himself in the team. He was a regular last season following an £850,000 transfer from Crystal Palace but has been displaced by the latest influx of new arrivals.

But he is happy to be part of a large squad, and looks forward to playing a greater role as the season progresses.

"After being left out for a few games it took me 10 minutes or so to get going at Derby, but after that I felt comfortable," he said.

"It's a squad thing for us. We've got a big squad and a lot of players have to wait their turn, and I'm no different.

"If you get picked you don't worry about where you're asked to play; you just do it and make the best of your chance."
