Colchester United can go all the way to promotion. Two-goal hero Neil Danns offered that bold prediction as he entered the final few days of his one-month loan spell from Premiership club Blackburn Rovers.
Danns, who netted the U's opening-half goals - his first for the club - in their 2-1 home win over Port Vale, told the Gazette: "I'll be very surprised if Colchester United don't finish in the top six.
"There are some great players and tremendous potential at this club.
"I don't just think the lads will go on to win promotion via the play-offs I think they're good enough to go up as one of the top two.
"As far as my future is concerned, we'll just have to wait and see. Blackburn have let me come out on loan, but I think they really want money for me. So my options are open."
