Defuelling work at Bradwell Power Station should re-start within the next couple of months.

In July, operations were suspended at the power station while a "root and branch" review of defuelling activities was carried out.

The review was intended to look at all aspects of the defuelling process including safety.

The management team has now identified a number of issues which need to be addressed before operations return to normal.

Although the aim is to re-start operations within the next month or so, manager Ray Jepps has made it clear that he will not be hurried into resuming work until he is totally convinced that all improvements have been made.
