Plans to turn a former cinema into a hotel and apartment complex were today unveiled.
The proposals, submitted to Basildon Council, would turn Robin's Cinema, in North Gunnels, into a modern three-storey development.
Once completed, the building will include a 44-bedroom hotel, 29 one-bedroom flats, three two-bedroom flats and two studio flats.
The applicant, Harrow-based Ivory Management, also plans to install storage rooms and new fire stairs at the central Basildon site.
Neither Ivory Management, nor architects AEGIS were willing to comment about the development.
