Westcliff aim to get back on track in London Four North East against visitors Thetford tomorrow.
The Aviation Way side threw away a 19-10 half-time lead at West Norfolk last weekend, suffering a dramatic collapse to lose 20-19 late in the game.
This setback followed a disappointing Powergen Junior Vase defeat at Basildon, leaving newly promoted Cliff desperate for a repeat of their opening day 25-3 win over Beccles.
"We were very disappointed to throw away victory so late in the game at West Norfolk," said club press officer Geoff Sawyer.
"But the coaching team have been working hard with the players this week and are sure they have identified what went wrong.
"Everyone is desperate to put things right against Thetford tomorrow."
Nick Bannister returns to the front row for Westcliff, with Darren Chapman and Garry Usher both injured.
Sam Newbury is called into the second row and back row Simon Jones gets the nod as James Argentirei is struggling with a virus.
Impressive kicking in the seconds, he scored seven conversions last week, earns full-back James Braithwaite a call-up and prop Andrew Backanovari makes the bench.
Rochford Hundred face a tough trip to Colchester, beaten 20-11 at Basildon last week, hoping to maintain a three game winning streak.
Basildon are also on the road in London Four North East. They travel to a Stowmarket side, who, like their visitors, have won both their league games.
In Essex One, Stanford-le-Hope attempt to pick up their first points of the season when they take on Maldon at home.
Billericay host Upper Clapton and South Woodham Ferrers travel to East London.
Essex Two leaders Canvey Island are at pointless Old Brentwoods.
Rayleigh Wyverns, also without any points so far, host Bancroft and in Essex Three Pegasus Palmerians take on Writtle Wanderers.
Thurrock are at home to Shelford in London North Two. Southend are without a game in National Division Three South this weekend.
