Clacton's newly-revitalised Chamber of Trade will be working with the police to make the town a better place.
Top on the list of subjects to be tackled is general crime and disorder in the town centre.
They want to improve the use of CCTV cameras and ensure police officers are fully aware of what the system can do.
The problem of scooters and motorcyclists in the town centre which are causing a nuisance will be dealt with.
Another hot topic to be covered is boy racers using the town centre circuit as a race track.
