The centre, in the former Royal London building in Middleborough, will be completely nurse-led and offer another option for patients in addition to their GP or the hospital's accident and emergency department.
The building has been kitted out by local firms and will provide a range of services from taking blood and dealing with minor injuries to emergency contraception and dressings.
It features a reception area, waiting room and a range of treatment and assessment rooms as well as facilities for staff who will be working in the building and officially opens in a couple of weeks time.
