Triumphant Southend manager Steve Tilson lost no time in paying tribute to his spot-kick kings after they dumped Colchester out of the LDV Vans Trophy for the second season running.
Out of his grasp - Aidan Davidson tries in vain to save a Southend United spot-kick
He said: "We scored five out of five great penalties to win the tie and that's a massive turnaround from last season when we missed eight out of ten spot-kicks in matches that landed us in deep trouble."
And the Shrimpers boss also paid special tribute to his eventual match-winner Jimmy Corbett, who, called into action just three or four minutes before the end of extra-time, shrugged off the mounting pressure of having to put away the vital, all important last spot-kick.
"Jimmy doesn't feel any pressure," said Tilson. "And I'm glad it was him who stepped up to take it."
