The final session of the public inquiry into a new container terminal at Bathside Bay, Harwich, will be held this month.

It will take place to formally accept agreements between developers Hutchison Ports UK and parties like the Environment Agency and English Nature.

The agreements cover issues like the proposed compensatory wildlife habitat at Hamford Water, Little Oakley. It begins at noon on October 21 at Mercedes Hall, Harwich.

Planning inspector Ken Smith will make a recommendation whether a multi-million pound extension to Harwich International Port can go-ahead.
