Kind-hearted workers from Ford put their practical skills to good use to place a wheelchair access ramp at a centre for youngsters with disabilities.
A group of staff from the company who are based in Dagenham and Dunton paid for and fitted the ramp as part of its community project at the Play and Resource Centre (Parc), Great Notley Country Park, Braintree.
The wide ramp will give wheelchair access to the garden at the centre and the volunteers also concreted the shed area in the garden as well as giving the garden a tidy up.
Georgina Rhymes, of Parc, said she is hoping this latest gesture from Fords staff will result in a long-term relationship between the two. She said: "We are obviously delighted they are helping us because we would have to pay and as we are a charity it would cost us a small fortune."
