Joe Keith will be reminding his Colchester United team-mates just how important it is to him that they see-off Southend at Layer Road tonight.
The former West Ham trainee is the only player left, or fit enough, in the U's squad who suffered total humiliation at the Shrimpers' hands in last season's 3-2 Layer Road, LDV annihilation.
"It's amazing that I'm the only one left to try and avenge that defeat," Keith said.
"And the fact that it was the semi-finals and we were so close to making the Millennium Stadium final still hurts me a lot.
"Everyone knows, even the new lads who weren't even here, we lost that first tie and I still can't believe how badly we played on the night."
