Friends of a young mother who died suddenly are gearing up to raise cash for her son.
Tammy Warren, 30, of The Meers, Kirby Cross, died in her sleep while she was staying in Colchester.
Now her friends say they want to do all they can to make sure her five-year-old son, Kieron, has the best future possible.
Kieron, a pupil at Frinton Primary School, is being cared for by the rest of his family and his father. Michele Rann and Jodie Wells were both friends of Tammy, who has lived in both Walton and Clacton.
Mrs Wells said: "We want to try to provide for his future, the way she would have done if she was still here. She would want us to do that."
On December 11, together with other friends, they will be holding a fundraising night at the Royal Albion in Walton. There will be an auction, raffle, a disco and other activities.
The friends would like any prizes or memorabilia which can be auctioned or raffled. Anyone who can help should call Miss Rann on 07779 640674.
