Grateful passenger - Joan Leate thanks driver Shaun De'ath
Joan Leate praised driver Shaun De'ath for his actions, and also extended a thank-you to a caring nurse who looked after her following the temporary loss.
Mrs Leate hopped on a First bus on Monday to go and visit her husband Peter in hospital. When she sat down, she went to put her purse in her bag, but it slid down on to the seat.
The 80-year-old, of Brightlingsea, said: "I was very distressed."
She said: "The kindness of these people was wonderful."
A spokesman for First said: "We are just pleased the lady in question got her property back."
