A cat owner is having to pinch herself as her beloved feline has been returned to her - two years after it disappeared.
Welcome return - Elsie Dixon with Tizzy.
Elsie Dixon, who is in her 60s and lives in Highlands Drive, Maldon, was distraught when Tizzy vanished two years ago. She had given up all hope of seeing her again.
That was until a woman from Chelmsford contacted her to say she had found Tizzy, whom Mrs Dixon had owned since she was a kitten.
Both Mrs Dixon and the woman who brought Tizzy back were in tears, but the identity of the woman remains a mystery to her.
She said: "Tizzy was brought back to me last Wednesday, I thank the lady so much. I really wish I could contact her.
"I hope this gives hope to other people who have lost their pets. I have to keep pinching myself to make sure it is real."
