HE may be thousands of miles away but Danny Crates was not forgotten back home when he ran his way to gold at the Paralympics.
Danny will return to Corringham to a heroes welcome after his much deserved victory in the 800m in Athens on Saturday night.
The 31-year-old, who lost his right arm in an road accident in Australia in 1994, is already the European Champion but the gold medal was the icing on the cake for him and his fans.
