FIREFIGHTERS spent hours battling a fire at a restaurant but were too late the save part of the roof which caved in.
A total of seven crews from Leigh, Southend, Rochford and Canvey attended the blaze at the Chalkwell Park Rooms in London Road, Westcliff, in the early hours of Saturday morning.
