The Evening Gazette today declares its support for the bid to get a new home for Colchester United built at Cuckoo Farm.

And we will keep up the pressure on Colchester Council, the Government, the Highways Agency and anyone else with a part to play in making the dream a reality.
The council first set up a stadium working party in 1976 - nearly 30 years ago. In July last year, outline planning permission was granted for the project to go ahead at Cuckoo Farm.
But 15 months later, officials are still at work on a legal agreement necessary to move the scheme to the next stage.
According to executive director Mike Crouch, only a few final details remain to be worked out. Vincent Pearce, Colchester Council's planning service manager, said it was hoped to tie up the legal matters by the end of the year.
After decades of waiting, the Gazette is calling for results - and fast.
