It's lights, camera, action for a young film-maker from Billericay who will have her budding blockbuster shown at a prestigious film festival.
Sarah Pearson, 19, from Norsey Road will have her film called, Yesterday's Tomorrow screened at the Co-operative Young Film-Makers Festival in Bradford.
Her entry was one of only 100 chosen from more than 320 entries by young film makers under the age of 21 from schools, youth groups, arts groups and colleges from across the UK and beyond. Some entries came from as far a field as Australia, Canada, Malaysia, Estonia, Croatia and Finland.
The black and white film, which features picturesque scenes from St Mary Magdalene Church in Great Burstead and Lake Meadows, is four minutes long and will be shown at the film festival at Bradfords National Museum of Photography, Film and Television on Saturday, October 9.
Sarah is a former pupil of Mayflower High School and is currently an English and creative writing student at The University of Kent.
She said the film's success has made her think about film-making as a possible career move: "I didn't expect it to actually get through - the main reason I entered is because the film festival gives entrants feed back and I wanted to see what other people thought of it."
The 100 films, all under six minutes long, will be shown over nine screenings throughout the two-day event on Friday, October 8, and Saturday, October 9.
