Britain's sailors - including West Mersea ace Hannah Stodel - will finish outside the medals at the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games.
The Sonar crew of Stodel, John Robertson (Sunderland) and Stephen Thomas (Bridgend) finished tenth in race seven of the series yesterday, but followed that up with an impressive fourth place.
The GB team lodged a protest against the Norwegian crew for an infringement in race seven, which resulted in Norway's disqualification from the race. The British crew therefore moved up to ninth for that race.
But the results still mean they drop down a place to seventh overall, with one race remaining today.
They can still move up the final scoreboard, but cannot claim a medal.
Great Britain's Lloyd Upsdell, from Gosfield, was also in action yesterday, competing in the men's T35 100 metres final. He finished fourth.
