A keen Heybridge athlete who has run the London Marathon is attempting the New York version this year with her younger brother.
Rosie Buckley, of Heymeads Court, will run 26 miles through the city's five boroughs on November 7, having completed the London run three years ago for Essex Air Ambulance.
Now her 20-year-old brother John has decided to join her in the New York City Marathon, and both hope generous donations from sponsors will help them achieve a target of £1,500 each for multiple sclerosis.
The pair expect to complete the course, taking them past famous landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty and Central Park, in four hours.
For more information about their run, or to make a donation, contact Miss Buckley on 07786 928565.
