Members of the Braintree business community will be hearing about a new model aiming to stamp out crime in the area at a meeting next week.
Braintree Against Retail and Business Crime Group (Barc) will be holding a public meeting on Tuesday where the group will announce its constitution.
It will also elect board and enrol new members at the meeting.
The partnership between Braintree retailers, Essex Police and Braintree Council have been in discussions over the past few months creating the constitution of Barc.
George Yard centre manager Brenda Baker said: "We are really keen for as many people as possible to come along, principally retailers and people that are interested by it."
The meeting will be at the old town hall, Market Place, Braintree, from 5.30pm.
