Skating enthusiasts will be getting longer to skate as the darker evenings approach when lights are installed.
Tendring Council is set to receive £6,750 in funding to spend on lighting for the new skate park at Clacton Leisure Centre, in Vista Road.
Clacton's skatepark, which is called Trax, was officially opened at the beginning of June. It took more than three years to build and caters for rollerbladers, bikers and skateboarders.
At a meeting of the East Essex Area Forum, members heard a progress report on the skatepark. They heard the wiring was in place and the lights were due to be installed shortly.
