A young man who indecently assaulted a woman has been ordered to serve a community rehabilitation order.
Brin Dunn, 23, of Windmill Road, Halstead, had admitted a charge of criminal damage on August 16, 2003, and making off from a taxi without paying on August 17, 2003, but had denied the charge of indecent assault on August 16, 2003. He was found guilty of the charge at an earlier hearing.
Christian Miekle, prosecuting, said the indecent assault had happened in the woman's lounge. He said later that evening Dunn threw a brick through the woman's window causing £80 damage.
Roger Brice, mitigating, said the woman did not make a complaint about the assault initially. He said Dunn had attended schools for children with learning difficulties.
Yesterda Colchester magistrates ordered Dunn to perform a two-year community rehabilitation order and attend one-to-one sessions of the general offending behaviour programme.
He was also ordered to pay a total of £172 in compensation and costs.
