Southend Manor may be out of the FA Cup, but they pulled off a victory last night in the Eastway Essex Senior League's own knockout competition.
In their Section C League Cup home clash with London APSA, Manor bounced back from Saturday's defeat by Billericay Town when they won 2-1 thanks to goals from Kemp and Hodgson. Burton replied.
In Group B Hullbridge Sports were beaten 3-0 at home by Bowers and Pitsea -- McGold-rick, Shelley and Kite doing the damage.
And despite taking the lead through Bradbury, Basildon United lost 3-1 at league leaders Waltham Abbey. L Sontag (2) and Holland scored for the winning side.
In Group A an 80th-minute Brant goal gave hosts Concord Rangers a 1-1 draw with Enfield Town, who took the lead through Finch.
Tilbury-based Eton Manor led through Connolly at Sawbridgeworth, but lost 3-1 with Pullen (2) and Goodchild doing the damage.
Other results Group C: Stansted 2, Romford 0. Group D: Brentwood v Burnham Ramblers postponed due to floodlight failure. Essex Senior Cup round 2: Clacton 3, Barkingside 1.
