Joe Royle is planning to ring the changes for Ipswich Town's Carling Cup second-round date at Doncaster Rovers.
Matt Richards, Tony Dinning and Dean Bowditch are all poised to start in what will be the Blues' first visit to Belle Vue since 1958.
Left-back Richards has been sidelined with a persistent foot injury. Dinning is on loan from Wigan Athletic and will be desperate to make an impression before his two-month stay expires. He impressed Royle when he stepped off the substitutes' bench at West Ham on Saturday.
Bowditch, like Dinning, made his last start in the Carling Cup first-round victory against Brentford.
Royle has confirmed those three changes but others in with a chance of making the starting line-up include goalkeeper Lewis Price.
