A landmark building which has been painstakingly refurbished is to have its doors opened to the public for one day only.
People will get the rare opportunity to look round the former Charles Brown and Sons hardware store in East Street, Colchester - affectionately known as Charlie Brown's.
The 14th century building, which was once one of Colchester's grandest, had been on the point of collapse before developer Harding Homes took it on last May.
Workmen have converted the building into three houses, with price tags between £250,000 to £390,000, while complying with strict planning guidelines imposed to ensure its character is preserved.
Now the developers have organised a special open day between 10am and 4pm on Saturday.
Anyone interested in booking a slot to visit on the day should contact Sue Dickson at Harding Homes on 01206 545822
