A free information event for the older residents of Maldon will offer electric blanket testing and interactive presentations.
Jointly run by Maldon and South Chelmsford Primary Care Trust and Maldon District Council, the event is on the theme of Back to the Sixties - Music and the Arts.
Electric blankets can be brought in to be tested at a later date, and participants will be able to gather information on a variety of topics ranging from falls prevention and keeping active to transport and medications.
Free blood pressure checks will be available on the day and a representative of the fire service will also be on hand to advise on fire safety.
Entry to the event includes tea or coffee and refreshments and will be by ticket only. For further details or to book a free ticket call Lesley Speller at Maldon and South Chelmsford Primary Care Trust on 01621 727318.
Free transport may be available and can be requested by contacting Chris Rust at Maldon District Council on 01621 875811.
