I am trying to locate my father who I have never seen. His name is Robert Burton and originally came from Enflied. He lived in Clacton working at Ball Plastic in Valley rd and Pultrex on Grose lane. The Clacton Gazette helped me locate his best friend but they lost touch.

I have been looking for him for the past 6yrs. He did emigrate to Australia about 20yrs ago but he has never been on my birth certificate so this has made my search even harder. I have been told that he has a sister but I do not have a name and she may still be in the area. His stepfather's name is george and he was Japanese POW, so much time has been wasted I have been told that I look like my father and that he is aware that he has a son but at some point he was told that I was put up for adoption. My mothers name was Lidster.

All I want is to make up for lost time and for my wife and chilren to meet my father please if any one can help please contact me.
