Bright blooms at Bentley St Paul's Primary have earnt the school a special nomination in the upcoming Anglia in Bloom awards.
Youngsters will be travelling up to the awards ceremony Gorleston-on-Sea near Great Yarmouth next Tuesday (September 14) alongside representatives from the Brentwood in Bloom Strategy Group which has been spearheading the borough's challenge for a top trophy.
Strategy group chairman, Peter Baggott, said: "We have been advised that Bentley St Paul's Primary has been shortlisted for a special prize by the Anglia in Bloom judges. The whole team are keeping their fingers crossed for the pupils that they may do well.
"They are winners in our eyes whatever happens! This is the first time that a Brentwood school has been invited to the Anglia in Bloom ceremony by the Anglia in Bloom judges."
Mr Baggott added that the strategy group was looking forward to finding out whether the borough had matched or exceeded last year's achievement of gaining a silver award in the competition which is organised by the Royal Horticultural Society.
