Organisers of one of Harwich's best-loved festivals are trying to encourage more entrants for this year's event.
Preparations are under way for the Guy Carnival, which is due to take place through the streets of Harwich and Dovercourt on November 6.
Last year saw a dwindling number of people involved in the traditional procession, so the Harwich and Dovercourt Rotary Club wants to rally more participants.
Geoff Bull, chairman of the fundraising committee, said: "This year's Guy Carnival is approaching quickly. The success of the carnival relies totally on participation by the community and I am asking everyone to consider how they can take part."
Anyone interested in taking part in the event should contact Mr Bull on 07979 505503.
