Darren Gough believes England can see-off the cream of world cricket to win the ICC Champions Trophy which starts tomorrow.
Essex and England ace Gough, star of 58 Tests and 134 One Day Internationals, believes he and current national hero Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff can bowl the three lions to glory in the Brit Oval final on Saturday, September 25.
"Freddie is an exciting talent playing right on top of his game and I'm feeling great and bowling as fast as I ever have," said the right-arm fast bowler.
Gough chalked up his latest personal milestone at the weekend 200 One-Day International wickets as England emerged triumphant in the three-match NatWest Series against India.
He said: "We've got the firepower to see-off any country in the world and if 'Tres' (Marcus Trescothick) and Freddie also get going with the bat we will be a good match for anyone."
