A young girl underwent plastic surgery after she cut the tips of two of her fingers off playing with her dad's circular saw.
The four-year-old is believed to have been watching her dad at work with the saw and, while his back was turned, picked it up.
The accident happened at the home in Araglen Avenue, South Ockenden, just before 4pm on Saturday.
A spokesman for Essex ambulance said: "After assessing the little girl's injuries they decided to take her straight to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford.
"It has experts in plastic surgery.
"The little girl has sustained a nasty injury but it could have been much worse.
"She is likely to make a full recovery."
