Teresa Marks was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer two years ago. But after months of treatment, she is back behind the counter.
And now her fight against cancer has inspired her and her family to raise money for other sufferers.
Miss Marks, 33, who runs Young's Fisheries in Connaught Avenue as well as Young's Other Plaice in Old Road, was found to have ovarian teratona cancer.
Now Miss Marks has set out to buy a number of electric reclining chairs for fellow sufferers in Jefferson Ward at Essex County Hospital, where she was treated.
"In a way its a big thank-you," said Miss Marks, of Cloes Lane, Clacton.
Several charity events have been arranged and so far the fundraisers have collected more than £3,200.
