Businesses in the county can win a share of £10,000 in prizes in the final to find the best E-Commerce companies in the region.
eBusiness Clubs are hosting the regional finals of the 2004 DTi InterForum E-Commerce Awards to recognise the best use of technology to do trade online on September 21.
The event is being held at Essex Record Office in Wharf Road, Chelmsford.
Awards will be presented in categories including: Best E-Business start-up, E-Trading, Broadband Communications, Mobile and Wireless Technology.
Awards will be handed out by Peter McCarthy-Ward, BT's regional director for the East of England.
He will be delivering a key note speech as part of the event which will also feature presentations from BT and Microsoft.
The winners of the regional awards go forward to the national final in London in October where the overall winner receives a prize of £40,000.
