Motorcyclists across the county were invited to a road safety event which aimed to cut the number of deaths on Essex roads.

With national motorcycle deaths on the increase, Essex Police helped set up the event at the Essex Sports Pavillion, in Springfield, Chelmsford.
Bikers had the chance to get their motorcycles road-tested free of charge, and improve and evaluate their current bike riding and road skills.
Essex County Council and the Motorcycle Action Group were also on hand to offer advice, and enthusiasts also got extra tips from other professionals who were there on the day.
There have been 21 motorbike fatalities on roads in Essex so far this year.
