A Braintree man has died from head injuries he suffered in a road accident on the A120 in Dunmow.
Colin Barker, 49, a draughtsman from Derwent Way, Braintree, died at Oldchurch Hospital, Romford, on Friday.
He was involved in a crash on the eastbound carriageway of the A120 at Dunmow on August 29, which resulted in his Ford Mondeo flipping over several times. No other vehicles were involved.
He was airlifted to Colchester General Hospital with serious head injuries and transferred to the Romford hospital which specialises in head injury treatment.
Police are still appealing for witnesses to the accident to contact Bocking traffic police on 01376 330722. This is the 68th death on Essex roads this year.
