Staff commitment to customer services has helped a Colchester post office to clinch a top award.
Commitment - Colchester Co-op post office manager Gill Christmas and staff Sally Robertson, Sue Rand, Sheila Bower and Nichola Hurrell
The post office, inside the Co-op department store in Long Wyre Street, has been named by the Royal Mail as the best post office owned by a company in the south of England region, in the financial services category.
Manager Gill Christmas said it was the hard work of her eight-strong team which had helped to secure the accolade.
They had beaten Post Office-set targets, particularly following the establishment of a foreign exchange bureau last year.
Mrs Christmas said: "On behalf of us all, I'd like to thank our customers for nominating us for the award. It really means a lot."
