A widow is to get a refund for a trip abroad - thanks to the Evening Gazette.
Doreen Harfield's husband John died days before a trip abroad. But airline Easyjet refused to give Mrs Harfield a refund after she had to cancel the flight.
The airline wrote to Mrs Harfield and said it did not do refunds. But after the Gazette stepped in, it agreed to pay back the money she had paid for the flight.
Mrs Harfield, 70, of Aster Close, Clacton, had been due to fly to Alicante. But the week before, Mr Harfield, 71, a retired London Transport foreman, who suffered from cancer and diabetes, died at Colchester General Hospital.
