Adult students celebrated when a busy community centre reopened to the public after a £200,000 revamp.

Leigh Community Centre, in Elm Road, which is used by more than 1,000 students every week, had to be refurbished to improve access for disabled users.
The work included fitting automatic entrance doors and a lift.
Southend MP David Amess officially reopened the building, which is part of Southend Adult Community College.
