Wickford's Bill Longmuir continues to take the European Seniors Golf Tour by storm.
The man who started his career at Basildon as a teenager and played much of the main European Tour attached to Thorpe Hall starts his challenge for the Bovis Lend Lease European Seniors Masters on the Duke's Course at Woburn tomorrow.
Last weekend he enjoyed his second Seniors win of the season by capturing first prize and £22,500 in the Charles Church Scottish Seniors Open.
It was his second Tour win of the term and lifts him to fourth place on the merit list for this season with winnings of 169,219 euros.
Since qualifying for the Seniors last year when he reached his 50th birthday in June, Longmuir has collected a total of 422,886 euros and is now 33rd on the earnings list.
It's a phenomenal record for the Anglo-Scot who, despite successes in various parts of the world, never actually won a tournament on the European Tour during his career.
