A vandal-hit eyesore is set to be torn down and a block of luxury flats built on the site.
Plans to put up 22 flats and covered car parking have been unveiled for the architecturally-famous Frinton Park Court.
Freemasons who use part of the building in Central Avenue, Frinton, are hoping to move.
The remaining flats have been empty for more than 15 years and remain a constant target for vandals. Previous attempts by the owners to put right the site have failed.
Frinton and Walton Masonic Hall Association has been looking to move into former Kirby night spot, Tracks, for its meetings.
