Kelvedon residents are getting the chance to see the potential site of their proposed new community centre.

The land, behind the Kelvedon Institute and Conservative Club in the High Street, is owned by Kelvedon Parish Council but there are currently no public access rights to it.

However, on Sunday, September 12, any residents who want to see the site can visit it between 2pm and 5pm.

Refreshments are planned, as is a visit from the area's MP Alan Hurst.

Geoffrey Raison, chairman of Kelvedon Community Association, which wants to build the centre, said planning permission was being submitted for a 38-space car park. He said he hoped the access difficulties would soon be resolved.
