Arena Essex meet Oxford tonight in an Elite League fixture at the Purfleet Raceway with the meeting which is scheduled to be broadcast live by Sky Sports at 7.35pm.

This is a re-arranged fixture after the initial attempt to stage the clash two weeks ago became a victim of the weather.

The previous two meetings at Arena have ended in home successes and a win by 12 points or more tonight would give the hosts the bonus point.

The new race averages take effect from this meeting and that has seen promoter and team manager Ronnie Russell re-shuffle his riding order.

New signing Roman Povazhny is second in the new calculations and will wear the number five race-jacket, while Greg Walasek rides at number three with Grand Prix rider Mark Loram continuing at number one.

Doubts still hang over the fitness of a trio of the Hammers riders: Dean Barker, Paul Hurry and Josh Larsen. All three missed last Wednesday's win over Wolverhampton but are hoping to be fit to return to the side.

If they are able to ride, then American Larsen will join Lanham at reserve with Hurry likely to wear the number two race jacket and Barker at four.

Should either Barker of Hurry be declared unfit, then Russell will use the Rider Replacement facility to cover their rides, but if both are out of the meeting a suitable guest rider will need to be drafted in.
