Blind diner Kenneth Bailey, 81, of Westborough Road, Westcliff, is angry after being refused a table at two Leigh restaurants because of his guide dog.
He tried to book a meal at Don Pepe, in Leigh Road, but was told Bramble was not allowed inside because the animal would risk the safety of staff and customers on a busy Saturday night.
Lucio's, also in Leigh Road, said dogs were not welcome although it is illegal to exclude a disabled person access because of their guide dog. Mr Bailey finally found a table at Cafe Rococo, in Elm Road.
