The ghosts of Rochford past will be revived when the history of the town is celebrated on Sunday.
Unlock Rochford History is an event jointly organised by the district council, Rochford Hundred Historical Society and Rochford Hundred Festival Committee.
Between 11am and 4pm there will be trails explaining the folklore and historical facts of the town's buildings.
Wandering minstrels, jesters and Tudor musicians will entertain visitors, buildings will be open to the public and there will be arts workshops in the Old House, South Street.
