A tennis tournament raised more than £1,500.
The annual Bradfield contest, which is in its 14th year, took place on eight private courts across the district and featured about 100 competitors. Money collected through a raffle, auction and entry fees will be donated to the Friends of St Lawrence Church.
Jenny Rose, one of the organisers, said: "It's a good fun tournament which is well attended for the area and this was a bumper year."
She thanked the people who own the courts for hosting the event. The winners were David Hunter, of Elmstead Market, and Jane MacAuley, of Copford. The Dovercourt pair of Terry Hoddy and Val Coy were runners-up.
