At last - a display to savour from buoyant Ipswich Town.
Although their points tally makes happy reading so far, fans have been waiting patiently for a trademark, action-packed performance.
And, six League games into the new campaign, their wishes were granted yesterday as Town chalked up their fourth win against Wolves.
In typical fashion, Joe Royle's side made life hard for themselves by conceding their mandatory sloppy goal.
But strikes in either half from Darren Bent and Tommy Miller from the penalty spot were enough to keep them flying high in the Coca-Cola Championship.
Town totally dominated the opening period - by far and away their most entertaining, fluent showing of the season.
Jim Magilton orchestrated their midfield while Darren Bent and Shefki Kuqi were lively and menacing up front.
It appears as though man-of-the-moment Bent will be staying at Portman Road.
Charlton had a £3 million bid rejected on Friday and, despite weekend rumours to the contrary, are yet to follow up their initial interest.
