The organisers of an annual air show that commemorates D-Day have branded it a "huge success".

More than 3,000 people, including Colchester MP Bob Russell, visited the second day of the D-Day Fly-in 2004 at Boxted airfield, Langham, yesterday.
The two-day event is organised by Boxted Airfield Historical Society along with the Popular Flying Association Suffolk Coastal Strut.
Visitors yesterday got the chance to experience the sights and sounds of Second World War fighter aircraft such as the Spitfire from the Battle of Britain memorial flight, Maurice Hammond's Mustang Janie and Europe's only flying Thunderbolt.
Ron Tickner, deputy chairman and treasurer of the historical society, said: "The aeriel displays were superb with a particular highlight being the guard of honour veterans got from air cadets from Manningtree.
