On your marks... get set... go!
No, they're not off their trolleys - it's all in the name of charity
About 30 elderly residents of Whitehall Court sheltered accommodation in Witham took part in a day of fun races to raise money for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.
Younger relatives of the sporting senior citizens also joined in the Bank Holiday Monday afternoon of events.
The rather unusual events included a trolley race, two wheelchair races, a children's egg and spoon race, and an adults' ladle and ball race.
Warden Angela Willisson estimated the day must have raised well over £200.
